Domaine de Pémontier Farmhouse holiday accommodation in South West France
Local Attractions and Activities
St Emilion When you are ready to indulge your senses, the local area abounds with bastide towns, 1001 chateaux, vineyards, restaurants, markets and galleries. The area is a wine-lover's mecca. Pémontier is surrounded by the fine vineyards of Bergerac and has easy access to the UNESCO heritage-listed St Emilion and many famous Bordeaux appellations.

The town of Bergerac - on the banks of the River Dordogne - is close by, as are Duras, Castillonnes, Sigoules and the likes of Domme, Rogue-Gageac, Beynac and Sarlat. The fascinating medieval bastide town of Issigeac offers excellent local facilities - three superb boulangeries, an epicerie and a number of casual and fine dining eateries. The popular Bastide of Eymet is also nearby, and has a weekly evening market where you can sample and buy local products or simply enjoy the atmosphere in one of the bars or restaurants.

Driving is a pleasure on wonderfully quiet country roads which wind through beautiful tree-lined valleys and sleepy villages. This is a fantastic area for cycling, rambling and bird watching. It is also an artist's paradise, with wonderful light and a 'potential' painting every time you turn around. For the more energetic among you, there is much opportunity for numerous outdoor activities such as go-karting, horse-riding, golf, tennis and canoeing ... to name but a few. Afterwards you can chill out with some shiatsu massage or a visit to a day spa.

Horse Riding Canoeing The list of things to do is endless - you'll just have to come to experience it all for yourselves!!
